Our Web/database application is taking on customers and adding new features at a truly terrifying rate. Our code base is multiplying like a horde of rabid Tribbles, and our worthy band of tech support managers are calling out for a worthy champion to unify, inspire and lead them to new levels of customer service victory.
Job Responsibilities
The premium version of our application is called ATHENA. Each ATHENA system is continually customized to meet the needs of our largest and most demanding clients. YOU, wielding a mighty phone and an online call-tracking system, handle support requests from this small but crucial group of clients. The following super powers will come in handy:
Change Management Guru when a sales negotiation begins to falter, you can walk in with a proven strategy to painlessly migrate clients from their old system to our ATHENA system. With the use of subtle mind control techniques, the doubters, resisters, pessimists and the fearful are instilled with confidence and enthusiasm as they sign the contracts and cross the threshold into a glorious new future with you serving as a guide.
Project Management You have the uncanny ability to assess customer needs, formulate optimal solutions and collaborate with our remarkably friendly and eager development group to produce the needed customizations.
Account Management You provide dedicated support to one or two premium ATHENA clients. Your strong organizational powers help us to keep track of each ATHENA system's customizations. You deliver top notch customer service, a higher level of phone support, and expert consulting on our platform.
This job is not for you if you:
- Totally live to program and develop web sites. This is primarily a high level support/account management position.
- Not supremely polished on the phone. Our clients expect a "smooth operator" to help them achieve their aggressive business goals.
- Are completely lacking in database skills, run away! Our application has the ability to implode the skulls of the database-challenged.
Requirements
- 3 years technical support
- 2 years project management
- 2 years client account management
- 2 year experience as leader of some kind of system or procedure implementation
- 1 year experience in SQL database construction and administration
- 1 year HTML proficiency
- Be able to provide project specifications for past project management tasks
Compensation
Salary Range: $40k-$50k ($36.5k-$46.5K plus $3500 bonuses)
Permanent full-time employees receive the following benefits on their 45th day of employment: Quarterly and Annual Bonuses — amount is dependent on overall company performance (last year, these bonuses exceeded $3500 for each employee)
Note: the conservative estimate of the 4 total annual bonuses is $3500, but the historical 3 year average is $4000.
Work Environment: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we work in our Boston office. The remaining days can be spent working from home (if that's your preference) or in the office.
