Jr. and Sr. PHP/MySQL Developer

Our Web application is the leading program in its industry and has been in existence for seven splendidly glorious and profitable years. With the glory and the profit comes a terrifying amount of customization requests from our clients, so we're looking for new coding warriors to help us beat back the teeming hordes.
We are looking for 1 junior and 1 senior PHP-MySQL developer to join our merry band of mischief makers!
Requirements
Our ideal candidate has the following characteristics:
- 3 years experience in Web development, 5 years for senior developers
- 2 years experience in object oriented PHP development (Perl, Java, Cold Fusion, etc. are not equivalent for our purposes — we need immediate proficiency in PHP), 4 years for senior developers
- 2 years experience with SQL database development, 4 years for senior developers
- 1 year experience in developing commercially utilized web applications (i.e. web apps that people actually use, not some academic exercise or speculative venture that never saw the light of day), 3 years for senior developers
- Be strong enough to voice your opinions and contribute your ideas, but flexible enough to accept final decisions
- Be able to communicate clearly with people who are less technical than you and people who are more technical than you
- Funny, smart, and super productive
- Know at least three of the following references: StrongBad, Smell the Glove, African or European Swallow, 2112, Queen Amidala, Timmy!, Spike and Drusilla, Bucky Dent and Aaron Boone, Paulie Walnuts
This job is not ideal for you if you:
- Prefer to work alone in your ivory tower without interference from mere mortals
- Are a C++/Java/etc. veteran developer who lives for compiled language environments but doesn't have PHP Web development skills
- Are one of those kickass developers who somehow managed to avoid picking up practical SQL skills
- Are a rookie who can hook a database up to a Web page but doesn't live and breathe classes and methods
- Are a Microsoft disciple
- Can't follow directions
Compensation
Salary Range:
Junior Developers: $32.5K-$37.5K ($30-$35K plus $2500 anticipated bonuses), plus full benefits
Senior Developers: $37.5K-$43.5K ($35-$41K plus $2500 anticipated bonuses), plus full benefits
Permanent full-time employees receive the following benefits on their 45th day of employment: Quarterly and Annual Bonuses — amount is dependent on overall company performance (last year, these bonuses exceeded $3500 for each employee)
Note: the conservative estimate of the 4 total annual bonuses is $3500, but the historical 3 year average is $4000.
Work Environment: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we work in our Boston office. The remaining days can be spent working from home (if that's your preference) or in the office.
